Updates

Hello everyone/anyone who has the patience to follow this very neglected blog. My work has been consuming lately, and balance has been difficult to achieve. School is out tomorrow! Zac is having an early B day party on the 12th. The kids and I will be traveling back east to Boston to visit my family from the 15-26th. We are very excited! For Zac's real b-day, we will be at Fenway park for a Red Sox game. We have lots of touring and fun planned. We will all have cameras, so photo journaling yet to come! This is Michele and I last summer at Jedediah Smith State Redwood Park in California.

The land of Hyster...

As of Feb.3rd, good bye uterus! It has been a bumpy recovery, however. Intermittent fevers and pain that was increasing instead of steadily improving. After a major bleed out on Friday, my Dr. discovered that I have a plum sized hematoma internally near the incision site. It has infiltrated into the tissues, and if all goes well, it should just continue to drain and absorb. If not, I may need further invasive treatments: blood transfusion, return to the hospital for procedures and lastly return to the OR. :( This is not how I was expecting my recovery to go. So far, I've had the shitiest (is that how you spell that?) luck after surgery of any kind. I hope this will be the last.

In my state of continual do nothingness, I have read several books which have been good, and several movies which have been mediocre. I've read: The girl with the dragon tattoo, The Tapestries, Me talk pretty one day, The Kite Runner, and White Oleander. I may need to summons the library of a close friend for some more recommended reading.

Time is up, time to be a Mother while I have a good pain free moment. This blog was in despirate need of a reviving breath.

Love to all. M
